This is an epitome of excellence where we see a young Indian Administrative Service officer who has bridged gap between job-mongers and job-providers. He has provided jobs to more than eight hundred people so far.
Tear 2016 batch IAS, Rahul Deo has started a project called ‘Akanksha’ four months ago in August in Mungeli (Chhattisgarh). This scheme is basically for providing a platform to youth where they can find jobs matching their requirement and skill.
So far, approximately thousands of youth have received benefits with this initiative apart from harnessing the skills.
In today’s cut-throat competition age, finding a job is not easy. That too if the people are residing in a rural district. But through h is vision, this young IAS has given youth a platform in Chhattisgarh (Mungeli district) where they can easily find job in accordance with their skills.
Following a meeting with some salesmen, IAS Rahul Deo realized that many such people are working on meagre pay scales. This is what inspired him to create a platform called ‘Akanksha’. This was the most required platform for the people in the district who were unemployed.
On the platform youth can register themselves and then as the step -2, the district administration later organizes a job fair for them. Here, various firms & companies select the candidates matching their need. Thus by now more than 800 youth have secured jobs with the help of ‘Akanksha’.
Not only this the candidates who could not be selected, are given further counseling. Thus the platform also provide them training by the administration towards upgrading their skills.
