In a major administrative reshuffle, the Yogi Adityanath led UP government has transferred 43 IPS officers including the SSP of Gorakhpur in the state. The list includes 22 district police chief.
Prior to this, the state government had transferred 37 IAS officers. In a way, within a span of three days after the by election results in Gorakhpur and Phulpur parliamentary constituencies, a total of 80 senior administrative officers have been transferred in the state that witnessed BJP’s stunning defeat at the hands of SP-BSP combined force.
