Patna: Former External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha who shared uncomfortable relations with the BJP, on Saturday announced his decision to take ‘sanyas’ from any kind of party politics. He also said that he was ending all ties with the BJP.
This announcement he made from his newly floated ‘Rashtra Manch,’ a non-political outfit, amid the presence of several leaders from the RJD, the Congress, the Trinamool Congress and others.
The 80-year-old leader, who has been at loggerheads with the party leadership ever since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister in 2014, spared no effort in mounting attack on the BJP-led NDA government.
A few days back, through his opinion piece in an English daily, he had urged members of BJP Margdarshak Mandal-L K Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi to break their silence, while exhorting the parties parliamentarians to speak up against the central government’s failure.
