The Indian Police Services officer who was in the race of being appointed as DGP, takes VRS in Odisha.
The government of Odisha has approved the VRS of IPS B Radhika, who was among the top contenders for the post of DGP of the state.
Year 1989 batch IPS, B Radhika was rendering services as Chairperson of State Police Recruitment Board. She was entrusted the position last month after returning from central deputation. She was also holding the additional charge of Director, State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL), Odisha. B Radhika was one of the 3 contenders for the post of Director General of Police, Odisha.
For the lady IPS, the Odisha government has also relaxed the three months’ mandatory notice period for her voluntary retirement from government service, so that she could at home take care of her parents. She was scheduled to be retired in July 2024.
