IFS officer Vivek Kumar appears to be moving to Deputy High Commissioner, London from the PMO soon.
The recent appointment of Nidhi Tewari (IFS: 2014) as Private Secretary to the Prime Minister has set the stage for the relocation of Vivek Kumar (IFS: 2004) from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). Sources indicate that he is likely to be appointed as the Deputy High Commissioner at the Indian High Commission in London.
Kumar, who joined the PMO as Deputy Secretary in 2014 under NaMo 1.0, coincidentally the same year Nidhi Tewari entered the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), has since risen through the ranks. He was later promoted to Director in the PMO before being elevated to the Joint Secretary level. In May 2022, he was appointed as the Private Secretary to the Prime Minister.
