IRS officer Vimal Anand has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Vimal Anand as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce. He has been elevated to the Joint Secretary / Joint Secretary equivalent level posts with pay at Level 14 of the Pay Matrix.
A year 2003 batch IRS officer Vimal Anand, will be serving from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for a combined tenure of 7 years up to 09/12/2026 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He replaces IAS Nidhi Mani Tripathi, lAS (MN:2001);
