IAS officers Ved Prakash Mishra & C Shikha assigned new administrative responsibilities at the Center.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of IRS Ved Prakash Mishra (IT:2004) as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change. He has been given a work tenure for an overall tenure of five years upto 31 .03.2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, by upgrading a post of Director held by the officer.
Simultaneously appointment of IAS C Shikha (KN:2004), has also been mandated as Joint Secretary, Department of Food & Public Distribution. She will be serving on the post for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
