V V Laxminarayana,IPS who worked as the joint commissioner of Thane police, has been promoted as the additional director general of police (administration).He had investigated the Satyam scam when he was in the CBI. Inspector General of Police (Administration) Ashutosh Dumbare will now take over as joint CP of Thane.
