The post of Joint Secretary has been upgraded to the level of
Additional Secretary in President’s Secretariat.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved extension in temporary upgradation of the post held by IAS Rakesh Gupta. A year 1997 batch senior IAS officer of Haryana cadre, Rakesh Gupta is currently serving as Joint Secretary in President’s Secretariat.
IAS Gupta’s post has been extended in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in President’s Secretariat, for a term up to November 18, 2025.
