IPS officer Umesh Chander Datta has been appointed as the Inspector General of Police in SPG
In a recent directive, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Office of Secretary (Security), Cabinet Secretariat for the appointment of IPS Umesh Chander Datta as IG in SPG, for a period of 05 years as per the IPS tenure policy.
A year 2000 batch of IPS Umesh Chandra Datta is from Rajasthan cadre. Datta has been given a work tenure of a period of two years from the date of assumption of the charge of the post.
