Major IPS reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh witnesses transfer of 11 officers whereas Police Chiefs have been changed in 7 Districts.
In a significant move to boost policing efficiency, the Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has transferred 11 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers in a major administrative reshuffle dated April 15, 2025. This follows a recent large-scale reorganization involving IAS and PCS officers.
The latest transfers span officers from the 2000 to 2018 batches and aim to strengthen law enforcement leadership across the state. The changes were formalized through official order No. DG-1-18 (04) – 2025.

Nilabja Choudhury (IPS-2000), previously ADG, ATS, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, has now been appointed as ADG, CID, Lucknow.

Ajay Kumar Mishra (IPS-2003) moves from Commissioner of Police, Ghaziabad, to Inspector General (IG) of Police, Prayagraj Zone.

J. Ravinder Gaur (IPS-2005), formerly Commissioner of Police, Agra, will now head the Ghaziabad Police Commissionerate as Commissioner.
