The 1978 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre, Rajiv Mehrishi took over the carge as new Secretary Department of Economic Affairs(DEA), Ministry of Finance, Government of India with effect from the afternoon of 30th October, 2014 and until further orders.
Mehrishi succeeds Arivnd Mayaram, IAS (RJ:78) who, in turn, was relieved yesterday of his duties as Finance Secretary and Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs in order to take-up his new assignment as Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.
