Today, Bhartiya Janta Party is likely to announce the Candidates for the Delhi Assembly Election as the BJP’s Central Election Committee meeting will takes place where senior BJP leaders including Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah are expected to deliberate on the poll strategy and only after this they will made the candidates list public.
Speculations are rife that former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Kiran Bedi would be picked as the saffron party’s chief ministerial candidate. Confusion over the CM nominee and lack of movement on candidate selection has created chaos in the city unit, BJP sources said.
According to a section of party leaders, the induction of Bedi has made matters murkier as she is being positioned as the face of the party without officially being named its CM pick.
