Eight IPS officers have been shifted in Tamil Nadu; whereas G. Karthikeyan has been appointed ACP, Traffic, Chennai
In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Tamil Nadu government has reassigned several senior IPS officers to new positions, effective immediately.
Mr. Vijayendra S. Bidari, a 2005-batch IPS officer, has been named Additional Commissioner of Police (Headquarters), Chennai. Mr. Kapil Kumar C. Saratkar from the 2002 batch has been posted as Inspector General of Police, Enforcement, Chennai. Fellow 2002-batch officer Mr. G. Karthikeyan has been appointed as Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Chennai.
Mr. Santosh Kumar, also from the 2002 batch, has assumed the role of Inspector General of Police, Economic Offences Wing, Chennai.
Ms. M. Sathiya Priya, a 2005-batch IPS officer, has been designated as Director General of Police and Head of the Police Force, Tamil Nadu. Dr. M. Durai has been reassigned as Director General of Police and Head of Police Force at the state headquarters.
Ms. Seema Agrawal, a senior officer from the 1990 batch, takes over as Director General of Police and Director, Fire and Rescue Services, Chennai. In addition, Mr. Rupesh Kumar Meena, a 2005-batch officer, has been appointed as Director General of Police, Civil Supplies CID, Chennai.
These high-level transfers reflect the state government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership and operational efficiency within the Tamil Nadu Police Department.
