Three Indian Police Services officers are going to lead newly formed ATS in Tamil Nadu.
Three well chosen IPS officers have been posted by the Tamil Nadu government to lead the newly formed Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS). The ATS in Tamil Nadu has been established in November 2023 with with 383 chosen personnel.
As per the announcement by the TN Chief Minister in the State Assembly during the Budget Session, the Anti-Terrorist Squad will be holding state-wide jurisdiction and independent legal action across Tamil Nadu.
It will function under the overall supervision of the Additional Director-General of Police (ADGP), Intelligence. The Anti-Terrorist Squad holds state-wide jurisdiction and independent legal action across Tamil Nadu, as per the orders of the Director-General of Police.
An order issued by Principal Home Secretary of the state, P Amudha lately regarding the posting of the three officers namely J Mahesh, Ara. Arularasu and V Sasi Mohan.
