As many as four IPS officers working in CBI in the rank of Special Director/Joint Director/DIG or SP has been curtailed with their central deputation tenure. The officers are:

- Arun Kumar Sharma, IPS (GJ:87), Joint Director, CBI
- Manish Kumar Sinha, IPS (AP:2000), DIG, CBI
- Jayant J. Naiknavare, IPS(MH:2004), SP/HoB, CBI
