Rendering services as the current Chief Secretary of UP Durga Shankar Mishra has gotten service extension. December 31st, 2024 was the last day of his the second tenure extension, but before prior to that the GoI has approved his service period.
In a recent order Mishra’s 6 month extension of service as Chief Secretary has been approved by the Government.
As per the sources, the Ministry of Personnel and Training (DOPT) has given approval to the extension of service of Durga Shankar Mishra.
The 1984 batch Indian Administrative Services officer Mishra was ending on 31st December. Now with this development the speculation about his contesting elections has finally come to an end.
In his service time IAS Durga Shankar Mishra has received extension three times now. Mishra has got one year extension of service twice. He now is the first Chief Secretary of UP, who has been given extension of service of one year twice.
