Deputation of IRS officer Arunita Phukan Yadav has been extended as Executive Director, Tea Board Extended for one more year.
The deputation tenure of Arunita Phukan Yadav (IRS-C&IT: 2011) as Executive Director of the Tea Board in Guwahati has been extended for an additional year. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), in an order issued on April 1, 2025, announced that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension following a proposal from the Department of Commerce.
This extension will bring her total deputation tenure outside her parent cadre to five years, with the new term set to end on May 31, 2026, or until further orders, whichever comes first.
Having played a key role in the Tea Board’s operations, Ms. Yadav’s extended tenure reflects the confidence in her leadership and expertise. Her continued oversight will provide stability to the organization, ensuring the smooth functioning of a sector that holds significant importance in India’s economy.
