As many as ten WBCS officers have been promoted in the state of West Bengal.
Following the heart wrenching tragedy at RG Kar Medical Hospital & College amidst huge administrative unrest, the West Bengal Government has opted for promoting ten WBCS officers to the IAS.
As per the rules, after completing eight years of service the WBCS officers become eligible for promotion to IAS.
