Tamilnadu​ IPS officer gets HC relief

In a relief to senior IPS officer Pramodkumar who was under suspension for about five years, the Madras High court has quashed disciplinary proceedings and charge memo against him and ordered his reinstatement in service. Pramodkumar, who was holding the post of additional DGP in Tamil Nadu, was suspended in May 2012 after a woman promoter of Paazee Forex Private Limited, which went bust unable to repay deposits of a few hundred crores of rupees to its depositors, alleged that he had abducted her for ransom.
