Two top cops have been transferred in Punjab where SPS Parmar has been appointed as Chief Director of Vigilance Bureau.
In a major reshuffle within the Punjab police services, the Bhagwant Mann-led government on Wednesday ordered the immediate transfer and posting of two senior IPS officers.
SPS Parmar, a 1997-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the new Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, replacing G. Nageswara Rao.
Meanwhile, G. Nageswara Rao, a 1995-batch IPS officer, has been transferred to the position of ADGP (Provisioning) in Punjab, Chandigarh, taking over from Sh. S.S. Srivastava, who previously held the additional charge.
These transfers are part of the state government’s efforts to enhance efficiency, improve governance, and ensure the smooth functioning of key departments.
