In a sweeping administrative overhaul, the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has transferred 162 police officers in a single day, including 11 IPS officers, marking a significant restructuring in the state’s police leadership.
The reshuffle was implemented in two phases—with the first phase involving 97 officers, including the IPS cadre, and the second involving 65 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), signaling a strategic shift across the mid-level command chain.

Ms. Ravjot Grewal (2015 batch) has been appointed Assistant Inspector General (AIG), Counter Intelligence, SAS Nagar. She previously served as AIG, Technical Services, Punjab, Chandigarh.

Ms. Ashwini Gotyal (2016 batch), earlier AIG, HRD, has been posted as AIG, Anti-Narcotics Task Force, SAS Nagar.

Ms. Vatsala Gupta (2016 batch) retains her role as Commandant, 27th Battalion PAP, Jalandhar, and now also holds additional charge as AIG, ANTF, Ludhiana.
