The 1981 batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre, Shashi Shekhar has been appointed as Secretary to the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation in place of Anuj Kumar Bishnoi (IAS, UP:1981). Prior to this Shashi Shekhar was serving as Special Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate change, Govt of India.
