The 1978 batch IAS officer of Haryana cadre, Shakuntla Jakhu has been appointed new Chief Secretary of Haryana announced by the Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Wednesday.
Jakhu, presently serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue & Disaster Management will assume the charge Thursday following the retirement of the outgoing S C Chaudhary.
