As many as seven IPS officers have been empanelled for the post of Inspector General in Government of India in fresh and review cases. The officers are

- Arun Kumar Sharma (1987 batch of Gujarat cadre)
- S N Pandey (1987 batch of Maharashtra cadre)
- S M Narvane (1989 batch of Orissa cadre)
- Dr Atul Verma (1991 batch of Himachal Pradesh cadre)
- Dr Bhagwanram Meghwal (1992 batch of West Bengal cadre)
