Senior scribe Upendra Rai honoured for ‘fearless journalism’

Upendra Rai was given National Excellence Award-2019 in Indore. Even the biggest troubles cannot stop a human being from reaching his destination if he is determined and has courage to achieve his goal.
This has been proved by Upendra Rai who belongs to Sherpur village in Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh.
Upendra Rai started his journey in the world of journalism in India as a reporter and soon took up a big responsibility as the Group Editor-in-Chief and the Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Sahara News Network with his strength and hard work.
Now it was a high time to honour and recognise journalist Uprednra Rai’s achievement and his journey in the field of journalism.
The institutions like AlMA National Awards and London’s World Book of Records decided to honour the fearless and courageous journalist Upendra Rai for playing an important role in the field of journalism.
The National Excellence Award-2019 was given to Upendra Rai this year by the ALMA National Awards and London’s World Book of Records jointly.
Upendra Rai was honoured at the grand function held in Indore, Madhya Pradesh at Hotel Mariott on Sunday, August 25, 2019.
According to organisers of the award, “Upendra Rai has been given this award in Indore this year for setting bold and excellent standards in the field of journalism.”
They also said that Upendra Rai has also been awarded for his “outstanding contribution in promoting the cause of journalism”.
Receiving the award at the huge and gracious ceremony being attended by a large number of celebrities and distinguished personalities from India as well from foreign countries, Upendra Rai said that he has always been an advocate of free, fair, unbiased and honest journalism.
He further said that a journalist should keep writing the truth without compromising his pen and skills in any circumstances.
“There can be no reporting if a journalist compromises with his honesty and dignity.”
“Moving forward along with social concerns while keeping a close eye on truth and exposing lies and malice is the prime responsibility of a journalist,” added Upendra Rai.
