Satwant Atwal Trivedi has been appointed as the officiating Director General of Police in the state by the Himachal Pradesh government.
A 1996-batch IPS officer, Satwant Atwal presently is the additional director general of police, Additional Director General of Police, state vigilance and anti corruption bureau; and CID.
Satwant Atwal Trivedi is the first woman officer who has held charge of DGP. The IPS officer previously has headed the Intelligence Directorate, BSF and was also the NATGRID Joint Secretary.
