The competent authority has recently issued a directive mandating name of Satish Jha for the position of CMD, Eastern Coalfields Ltd.
Satish Jha is currently serving as Director (Technical), Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL). Out of ten candidates his candidature has been selected for the post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Eastern Coalfields Limited at a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting conducted on July 30, 2024.
