IAS officer S Chockalingam has been posted Chief Electoral Officer in Maharashra.
Year 1996 batch Indian Administrative officer S Chockalingam has served as the Director General (DG) at Pune’s Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration.
The government of Maharashtra, ahead of the General Assembly Elections 2024, has posted senior IAS officer S Chockalingam as the new chief electoral officer (CEO) of Maharashtra. He succeeds IAS officer S M Deshpande.
Now the new CEO is going to undertake the responsibility of supervising work related to Parliament & Assembly polls in Maharashtra. He will be looking after the superintendence, direction and control of the ECI in the state.
