The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following appointments/repatriations.
- Amitabh Verma, IAS (BH:1982), who is currently serving as Chairman, Inland Waterways Authority of India under Ministryof Shipping has been repatriated to the cadre with immediate effect.
- Nutan Guha Biswas, lAS (AGMUT:1983), presently an Additional Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development appointed as Chairperson(Secretary level), Inland Waterways Authority of India under Ministry of Shipping vice Shri Amitabh Verma, lAS (BH:1982).
- Bala Prasad, IFoS (MN:1983) (presently on compulsory wait) appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj vice Shri A. K. Goyal, IFoS(KL:1981), (superannuated).
- T. Jacob, lAS (TN:1984), presently posted as Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training appointed as Secretary (AS level), Union Public Service Commission vice Shri Asha Ram Sihag, lAS (HP:1983).
- Ms. Vandita Sharma, lAS (KN:1986), Member (Finance), Atomic Energy/Earth Commission appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Adviser, Department of Space vice Shri A. Vijay Anand, IRS (C&CE:1980), (superannuated).
