Power Grid Corporation of India has a new Chief Managing Director. RK Tyagi has taken over as CMD of the power sector giant.
On Monday today RK Tyagi has assumed charge as the new CMD of Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL). Tyagi succeeds K Sreekant who has been heading the Corporation since August 2019.
After being chosen by the public-sector head-hunter (PESB) for the coveted post on September 21, 2023 and then ACC headed, by PM, approved his appointment on December 18, 2023 to the post of CMD of POWERGRID.
Currently RK Tyagi was serving as Director (Operations) of POWERGRID for last one year since August 2022 and now till his retirement he may lead the Schedule ‘A’ Maharatna CPSE as CMD. His . retirement is due on March 31, 2026.
