IPS Rajiv Ranjan Bhagat’s tenure of work has been extended.
Year 1998-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Bhagat hails from Gujarat cadre. He is currently rendering services as Deputy Inspector General in the Special Protection Group (SPG).
As per the circular issued from the Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), the proposal of the Office of Secretary (Security), Cabinet Secretariat has been approved. Thus, IPS Bhagat has been given an extension on his deputation tenure.
Bhagat will be continuing on the position for a period of one year beyond May 20, 2024 in relaxation of the IPS Tenure Policy.
