IPS officer Rajeev Kumar Sharma and Piyush Anand will be seen in new administrative roles now.
As per the recent directive by the Appointment Committee of Cabinet (CAA) IPS officer Rajeev Kumar Sharma and Piyush Anand have been mandated to assigned new administrative roles now.
A year 1990 batch IPS officer Rajeev Kumar Sharma hails from Rajasthan Cadre. With the new order Sharma has been appointed as Director General, Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPRD). He has been given a work tenure of one year three months from the date of assuming office up to his superannuation on 30.06.2026 vice Balaji Srivastava (IPS: 1988: AGMUT).
Simultaneously year 1991 IPS from UP cadre, Piyush Anand has been entrusted role of Director General, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). Replacing Atul Karwal (IPS: 1988: GJ), Anand will be serving for a period of two years.
