Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday during addressing an election rally in Bihar’s Sheikhpura district, said that “wherever PM Modi goes, he makes promises and Modi government has failed to fulfill its election promises.
“A year ago, Modiji won the elections and you all are aware of the promises he made. He had made several promises, including of bringing back black money and depositing Rs 15 lakh in every Indian’s bank account, employment for youth hiking minimum support prices for the farmer’s produce.
“When the prime minister talks about unemployment, he does not talk to unemployed youth, poor, farmers or workers. Instead he choses to consult corporates and bureaucrats. He will not listen to those in pain but he will make us all listen to his mann ki baat again and again,” he said, taking a jibe at Modi’s monthly radio show.
The Congress party, facing depleting support in Bihar, is in an alliance with ruling Janata Dal (United) and Lalu Prasad led Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). The Congress won only two out of the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar in the general elections last year.
