Former IAS Officer Raghav Chandra has been posted as Professor at IIM Calcutta where he will be teaching in the Public Policy and Management Group.
Raghav Chandra, a retired IAS officer from the 1982 batch (Madhya Pradesh cadre), has been appointed as Professor of Practice at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta. He will join the Academic Group of Public Policy and Management, bringing decades of administrative and policy experience to the classroom.
During his distinguished career in the Indian Administrative Service, Chandra held several high-profile positions, including Chairman of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Secretary in the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, and Secretary of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes.
Chandra holds a Bachelor and Master of Science from the University of Delhi (1978 and 1980, respectively), and earned a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University in 1998. A recipient of the Japan – World Bank Merit Scholarship, he has also held senior management roles across various state and central government organizations.
His appointment is expected to enrich IIM Calcutta’s academic environment with practical insights into governance, infrastructure, and public administration.
