IAS officer Menaka has been appointed as the new Deputy Secretary in Cabinet Secretariat.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the recommendations of the Civil Services Board (CSB) for lateral shift of IAS R Menaka to the post of the new Deputy Secretary in Cabinet Secretariat.
A year 2011 batch IAS officer of AGMUT cadre, R Menaka is at present serving as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Commerce. Now she will be assuming the charge of the post for a tenure upto 27.06.2028 (i.e. balance period of her 4 year tenure under Central Staffing Scheme) .
