Three IPS officers have been shifted in Punjab where IPS Swapan Sharma has been posted as Ludhiana Police Commissioner.
The Punjab Government has ordered the immediate transfer and posting of three IPS officers. One among the three chosen top cops, Swapan Sharma, a 2009-batch IPS officer of the Punjab cadre, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, replacing Mr. Kuldeep Singh Chahal. Prior to this, he served as DIG, Ferozepur Range.
A year 2010 batch IPS oficer Harmanbir Singh Gill has been appointed as DIG, Ferozepur Range. He takes over from Mr. Swapan Sharma. Previously, he held the positions of Joint Director at MRS PPA, Phillaur, and DIG, IRB, Patiala.
The official order also mentions about the posting details for IPS officer Kuldeep Singh Chahal (2009) which will be announced at a later date.
