The Punjab Government has transferred 2 IAS, 1 PCS officer while issuing first-ever transfer orders in Gurmukhi.
In a landmark move, the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has issued transfer and posting orders for two IAS officers and one PCS officer, with immediate effect. What sets this order apart is that it’s the first time such official communication has been issued in Punjabi/Gurmukhi, highlighting the state’s initiative to promote its regional language in administrative affairs.
Parminderpal Singh, a 2016-batch IAS officer, who was serving as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation SAS Nagar, and also holding the additional charge of Managing Director, Punjab Communications Ltd, has now been appointed as Special Secretary, Department of Local Bodies. He will retain his current additional responsibilities.
Rahul Chaba, a 2017-batch IAS officer, who was working as Additional CEO, Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion, and MD, Punjab INFOTECH, has been reassigned solely as Additional CEO of the Bureau, taking over the role from Sandeep Hans (IAS), who previously held it as an additional charge. Chaba will also continue as MD of Punjab INFOTECH.
