GAIL Pipeline fire incident which happened around 5:45 am today in Andhra Pradesh that killed 14 people and around 15 were injured said by Director Corporate Communication GAIL Vandana Chanana. The Government has ordered a high level inquiry into the fire incident, Central Governemnt team is also rushed to the site at East Godavari district to oversee relief operation.
GAIL chairman BC Tripathi said they are currently focused on relief and rescue operations. “The fire occurred at an 18-inch pipeline of the company close to an ONGC refinery complex. The reasons for the accident are not known yet.
