Senior IPS officer Praveen Vashista has been appointed as the new Special Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
As per a recently issued notification by the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet, name of IPS officer Praveen Vashista has been mandated for the position of the new Special Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
A year 1991 batch IPS of Bihar cadre, Praveen Vashista has been posted at the Level-16 in the pay matrix) in Ministry of Home Affairs vice Ms. Sivagami Sundari Nanda, IPS (AGMUT:88) on her superannuation.
Now Vashishta is going to serve on his new position from the date of assumption of charge of the post and upto 31.07.2026, date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
