In the state of Uttarakhand, there appears to be a possibility of appointment for Possibility of first woman Chief Secretary in the sate.
Prior to the Lok Sabha elections, most apparently the chances of Radha Raturi (IAS: 1988: UK) are ahead of the others for the post of the Chief Secretary of the hill state.
The reason for the change is the decision seems to be finalized soon, that incumbent CS S S Sandhu (IAS: 1988: UK) is not going to get an extension any further. The incombant SC is already working on an extended tenure which is to end on 31.01.2024.
IAS Radha Raturi has already been given charge of the CS when Sandhu went on leave in December 2023.
