Assam DGP has mandated a police personnel to undergo a mandatory BMI test.
The BMI is known to be the best measurement technique which detects the amount of body mass that a person has per weight and height. This is happening for the second consecutive year where an Assam police man has been mandated to undergo the Body Mass Index (BMI) tests. He has been instructed so by the State DGP, Mr. Gyanendra Pratap Singh (1991-batch IPS officer).
This is how the Assam police is making efforts to evaluate the fitness of the law enforcers in the state. This is an appreciable and a pioneering move by the Assam police for the policemen in other states.
