PM Modi will visit the Morbi bridge collapse site

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will visit the Morbi city tomorrow where 141 people have died after the British Era bridge around 150 year old collapsed last evening. More than 500 people including women and children were on the suspension bridge performing Chhath pooja rituals when the cable supporting it snapped.
The bridge over Machchhu river in Morbi had been shut for seven months for repairs. It was reopened to the public on October 26, the Gujarati New Year, without a fitness certificate from the civic authorities.
