New Delhi: With an aim to strengthen bilateral relations with Nepal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Himalayan country on Friday.
In the course of his two-day visit, the Prime Minister will make a trip to Muktinath and Janakpur also.
O April 6, Nepalese Prime Minister KP Oli had visited India to hold talks with Prime Minister Modi.
Pacts related to agriculture, research and development, education and training, will be discussed by the two leaders. A team from the Ministry of External Affairs is already in Nepal preparing for the Prime Minister’s visit.
The Nepalese Prime Minister will receive Modi at the historic Janki temple. Post that the two leaders are expected to launch a bus services to Ayodhya and Ramayana tourism circuit project. Both the leaders will inaugurate the Rs 6000-crore Arun 3 project which is expected to generate around 900 MW of power.
Prime Minister Modi will be meeting the Nepali leadership, including former Nepali prime ministers Sher Bahadur Deuba and Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
On May 12, he will travel to Muktinath for a visit to a temple. Nepali authorities have already banned trekking and flights along the popular Thorong La pass to address security concerns. This will be Prime Minister Modi’s third visit to Nepal in the last four years since he is at the helm of India’s affairs.
