Baghpat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated Rs 11,000-crore Eastern Peripheral Expressway in Uttar Pradesh.
The inaugural ceremony was held at the District Sports stadium in presence of Governor Ram Naik, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

The 135 km long expressway, also known as Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal expressway has been built over the period of 17 months at a cost of Rs 11,000 crore.
The expressway has two sections, the 56 km-long Palwal-Ghaziabad section and the 49 km-long Ghaziabad-Sonipat section.
The tolls collected on the expressway will not be in terms of the entire length but for the distance travelled.
The expressway aims at minimising the pollution level in the national capital by 27 percent, reports said.
The foundation stone of 135 km long Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) was laid by PM Modi in November 2015.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi inaugurated the first phase of the Rs 7,500-crore, 96 km long Delhi-Meerut Expressway.
