IPS officer Partha Sarathi Mahanta has been assigned additional charge as IGP, and Road Safety in Assam.
The government of Assam through amidst a recent bureaucratic development has mandated IPS Partha Sarathi Mahanta to take additional charge as the Inspector General of Police (Traffic and Road Safety).
Year 2006 batch senior IPS officer Partha Sarthi Mahanta has been appointed the new responsibility in the department of Traffic due to an increased demand for more dynamic and coordinated traffic management system in Assam.
IPS Mahanta at present is serving as the DIGP (Admn), Assam, along with DIG (CWR) & DIGP (STF).
