IAS Officer Parampal Kaur Sidhu has resigned and she may now join a political party and contest election.
Punjab cadre IAS officer Parampal Kaur Sidhu has suddenly resigned and it is likely that she is going to contest upcoming g Lok Sabha elections. Reports also say that Sidhu may join Bharatiya Janata Party. Officer Sindhu is the daughter-in-law of Sikandar Singh Maluka who is Shiromani Akali Dal leader.
Year 2011-batch IAS Sidhu is completing her tenure and is due to retire in October 2024. Currently rendering service as Managing Director, Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation, Sindhu had sent her resignation to Chief Secretary Anurag Verma.
Now when the resignation is accepted by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the clearance order is to be sent to the central Department of Personnel and Training.
