The 1983 batch IPS officer of UP cadre, O P Singh has joined as head of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). He is presently posted as ADG CISF. Singh has the unique distinction of being the first IPS officer to have obtained an MBA degree in disaster management discipline. He has earlier served in the SPG and the CRPF.
