Gachibowli Police is going to reissue notice to IAS officer Smita Sabharwal in Land Dispute Case.

The Gachibowli police are preparing to serve a second notice to senior IAS officer Ms. Smita Sabharwal (2001 batch) in connection with the Kancha Gachibowli land dispute case, after she failed to respond to an earlier summons seeking her cooperation in the investigation.

Officials say the inquiry centers around the alleged dissemination of doctored and misleading content on social media platforms, including manipulated videos, images, and clips. Ms. Sabharwal reportedly reshared certain materials related to the case from her verified account on X (formerly Twitter), prompting the police to reach out.

The initial notice had requested the officer to voluntarily provide any information in her possession relevant to the matter. “As you appear to have knowledge of the facts and circumstances, you may present yourself before the investigating officer at a location of your choosing to share any pertinent details,” the notice read.

With no reply received, authorities have confirmed plans to issue a follow-up notice. “There was no response to the first notice. We are now considering sending a second notice, again inviting her to appear before the investigating team at a place of her convenience,” a senior official stated.

The investigation remains active as law enforcement continues efforts to trace the source and spread of the alleged misleading content linked to the ongoing land dispute.
