Nirbhaya convicts challenge Curative Petition in Supreme court

One of the four convicts of Nirbhaya case Akshay Singh, has challenged the execution with the last legal resort in Supreme Court of India that is Curative Petition. The curative petition is expected to be heard by judges in their chambers and not in an open court. After the curative petition is rejected, Akshay Singh will have the option to send a mercy plea to President Ram Nath Kovind.
